Yoko Kanno’s newly produced theme song “499 Seconds” (vocals: Haoto & Megumi Nakajima) from the deep vision “499 Seconds– My Gattai” (produced by Shoji Kawamori for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan) was released digitally at midnight on April 15, 2025.
 The song “499 Seconds” is structured as a medley consisting of two parts: ” Wakan Tanka (from 499 Seconds)” in the first half and “499 Seconds (short ver.)” in the second half, together making up a total duration of exactly 499 seconds.

Yoko Kanno’s Comment:
It is said that it takes 499 seconds for light emitted from the Sun to reach the palm of our hands. In the length of this journey, I saw how miraculous and precious each moment of “now” truly is. I believe we’ve been able to fully express, through the Deep Vision, the vibrant pulse and mystery of life that Director Kawamori has experienced and deeply felt. You will encounter yourself as you are born, fused, and transformed with each passing moment. Before you experience it, and after you experience it, please return again and again through the music to that miraculous moment.
