The two-piano arranged works “Piano Symphonia Blue” and “Piano Symphonia Red” by Yoko Kanno, Yui Morishita and Benyamin Nuss — created for the daytime water show “A Symphony of Air and Water” held at the Water Plaza of Expo 2025 Osaka & Kansai — were released for streaming on October 24.

These musical pieces are arrangements for two pianos of the music used in the evening water show “Under The Midnight Rainbow”. Yoko Kanno, who is in charge of the music for “Under The Midnight Rainbow”, handled composition/arrangement and production; the piano-arrangement was done by Yui Morishita. The piano performance is a one-take simultaneous recording by Yui Morishita and Benyamin Nuss.

Titles such as “Overture”, “Red Dragon”, “Parade of Life”, “Finale” and “Nijimatsuri” are built on a grand, heavy sound centred on orchestra performance. In this special version for two pianos, the sound becomes light and full of dynamism, specially arranged for collaboration with fountains.
